OUR MISSION
The Todd County Republican Party is a welcoming and principled organization rooted in the Constitution and committed to individual liberty, free-market capitalism, and limited, effective government. Our mission is to elect Republicans at every level by informing voters and involving them in the political process.

We stand for the enduring values of freedom and personal responsibility, as outlined in the U.S. and Minnesota Constitutions. We believe government should be limited in scope, focused on upholding justice and protecting the inalienable and constitutional rights of every citizen.  

As the “Party of Possibility,” we aim to be the first choice for voters and candidates across Todd County. By growing participation and encouraging civic engagement, we’re building a stronger American future.

Todd County is “Where the Forest Meets the Prairie.”

Located in central Minnesota, Todd County is made up of over 944 square miles of lush farmland, lakes and rivers. There are 11 cities and 28 townships, with Long Prairie being the county seat.  As of the census of 2000, there were 24,426 people, 9,342 households, and 6,511 families in Todd County, out of which 31.80% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 59.80% were married couples living together,  26.30% of all households were made up of individuals, and 13.00% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.58 and the average family size was 3.14.  The median income for a household in the county was $32,281, and the median income for a family was $39,920. The per capita income for the county was $15,658. About 9.60% of families and 12.90% of the population were below the poverty line, including 14.60% of those under age 18 and 13.50% of those age 65 or over.

Our Values

We are neighbors, friends, mothers, fathers, grandparents and children.  We love each other as we love ourselves and our own families.  We care for each other in times of need, we share in times of plenty, and we gather together when we are threatened.  Todd County is one of Minnesota's poorest counties, but we are one of the proudest, most independent, and self sufficient counties in our country.
